Vanavil Calibrations

Clean room certification services with NABL-accredited test reports

A cleanroom certificate tells regulators, auditors and customers that your controlled area meets its design class. Vanavil Calibrations carries out the full set of certification tests on-site and issues documented, traceable reports you can rely on in any audit.

Clean room certification is the documented confirmation, based on a defined set of tests, that a cleanroom meets its intended cleanliness class and performance requirements. Vanavil Calibrations provides clean room certification services for pharmaceutical, hospital, laboratory and industrial facilities across Tamil Nadu, under NABL accreditation and ISO/IEC 17025:2017-compliant procedures.

What cleanroom certification involves

A cleanroom is designed to control airborne particles, airflow, pressure and environmental conditions. Over time filters load, seals age, fans drift and building changes affect air balance. Certification checks that the room still performs as designed and records the evidence in a form auditors accept.

Certification is not a single measurement. It brings together several tests — airborne particle counts for classification, HEPA filter integrity, airflow velocity and air changes, room pressure differentials, recovery time and environmental conditions — and judges each against the room's design and acceptance criteria.

The result is a certification report for each room, listing the tests performed, sampling locations, measured results, acceptance criteria, measurement uncertainty and a clear conclusion. Where parameters fall within our NABL scope, results carry accredited status.

For new facilities, certification usually follows cleanroom commissioning. For operating facilities, it is repeated periodically and after significant changes, as part of your wider cleanroom validation programme.

Certification turns design intent into evidence

Regulatory confidence

Pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare audits expect current certification reports for controlled areas.

Product and patient protection

Certified rooms show that particle and contamination controls are working where products and patients are exposed.

Early warning

Trends across certifications reveal loading filters, drifting airflow or pressure problems before they cause failures.

Clean room certification tests

  • Airborne particle count and ISO 14644 classification
  • HEPA filter integrity (leak) testing
  • Airflow velocity and uniformity
  • Air changes per hour (ACPH)
  • Room differential pressure
  • Recovery test
  • Temperature and relative humidity
  • Airflow visualization where required

Who we certify cleanrooms for

  • Pharmaceutical plants
  • Hospitals & OTs
  • Medical devices
  • QC & microbiology labs
  • Biotechnology
  • Electronics
  • Food processing
  • Research labs

How often cleanrooms are certified

Most facilities certify cleanrooms at least once a year. Rooms with stricter classes, critical aseptic operations or high regulatory exposure may be tested more often for key parameters such as particle counts and pressure. Certification should also be repeated after filter replacement, HVAC modifications, layout changes or any event that could affect airflow and cleanliness.

Your quality system should record the chosen frequency and the reasoning behind it. This helps auditors see that the schedule is deliberate and risk-based rather than arbitrary.

What makes a certification report audit-ready

An audit-ready report identifies each room, its intended class and occupancy state, the instruments used and their calibration status, sampling locations, measured values, acceptance criteria, measurement uncertainty and a conclusion for every test. Accredited results carry the accreditation symbol and reference.

Clear reports make audits faster. Inspectors can see at a glance what was tested, how and with what result, and they can trace every figure back to calibrated, traceable instruments.

How the work is carried out

01

Scope review

We confirm rooms, design classes, occupancy state and the tests each room needs.

02

On-site testing

Each room is tested with calibrated particle counters, photometers, anemometers and pressure instruments.

03

Evaluation

Results are compared with design values and acceptance criteria.

04

Certification report

You receive a room-by-room report with results, uncertainty and conclusions.

Frequently asked questions

Certification confirms, through a defined set of tests, that a room meets its class and performance requirements at a point in time. Validation is the wider documented programme that shows the room and its systems consistently perform as intended.
It depends on the number and size of rooms and the tests required. We plan testing around your operations and agree a schedule before the visit.
Some tests are done at rest and others in operation. We agree the occupancy state for each test with your team and record it in the report.
Results for parameters within our NABL scope of accreditation carry accredited status. We confirm which tests fall within scope before work begins.
We record the finding and observations, your team corrects the cause, and the affected tests are repeated before the room returns to use.
Yes. We certify cleanrooms for facilities across Tamil Nadu from our base in Salem.
