Vanavil Calibrations

IVF laboratory validation for embryology and fertility centres

Embryos need stable, clean conditions. We validate the rooms, workstations and equipment in your IVF laboratory and give your embryology team documented evidence that their environment is under control.

IVF laboratory validation is the testing of embryology laboratory rooms, laminar air flow workstations and critical equipment for cleanliness, airflow, pressure and temperature stability. Vanavil Calibrations provides IVF lab validation and equipment calibration for fertility centres and hospitals across Tamil Nadu.

Stable, clean conditions for sensitive work

IVF laboratories handle gametes and embryos in open dishes under the microscope. Particles, temperature swings and unstable conditions can affect outcomes, so many labs are designed with filtered air, positive pressure and controlled access.

Validation covers the room environment — particle counts, HEPA filter integrity, air changes, pressure relative to adjacent rooms, temperature and humidity — together with the performance of laminar air flow workstations where embryology work takes place.

Equipment calibration completes the picture. Incubators, heated stages, warming blocks and media refrigerators must hold their set temperatures accurately. Our laboratory equipment calibration service covers these items.

Testing is scheduled on non-procedure days in agreement with your embryology team, so clinical work is never disrupted.

Protecting the most sensitive work

Clean environment

Particle and airflow control protects gametes and embryos during open handling.

Stability

Validation checks conditions over time, not just single readings.

Quality records

Accreditation and quality reviews expect documented validation of the lab.

Why stability is as important as cleanliness

A lab can be very clean yet still experience temperature swings or pressure dips that affect work at the microscope. Validation therefore looks at how conditions behave over a working day, including during door openings and periods of activity, not only at single moments.

Logging temperature and humidity across the day and observing pressure during door openings gives a more realistic picture of the conditions embryologists actually work in.

When to revalidate

Revalidate before first clinical use, periodically (commonly once a year), and after changes such as HVAC work, filter replacement, new workstations or layout changes. Equipment calibration follows its own schedule. Read our IVF laboratory validation guide for practical preparation tips.

Equipment we calibrate in IVF labs

Beyond the room itself, IVF results depend on equipment holding precise conditions. We calibrate incubators, heated stages, warming blocks, refrigerators and other temperature-critical devices, and test laminar air flow workstations for velocity and filter integrity.

Combining room validation and equipment calibration in one planned visit reduces disruption to your lab and keeps all records consistent in one quality file.

Each instrument receives a certificate with results and measurement uncertainty, linked to its asset number so your team can find it quickly during reviews.

Building your lab quality file

Keep room validation reports, workstation test results and equipment calibration certificates together, linked by room and asset number. Reviewing them at quality meetings helps spot trends early, such as a workstation whose velocity slowly falls between visits, and plan maintenance before it affects clinical work.
