Vanavil Calibrations

Packaging clean room qualification for pharma and medical packaging

Once a product is exposed during primary packing, the room around it matters as much as the machine. We qualify and test packing areas so your packaging environment is documented as well as your product.

Packaging clean room qualification is the testing of rooms where products are packed, especially primary packing areas where product is exposed, for particle counts, airflow, pressure, temperature and humidity against their design class. Vanavil Calibrations qualifies pharmaceutical, blister, sterile and medical device packaging areas across Tamil Nadu.

Primary packing is part of the controlled process

In primary packing, tablets, capsules, sterile items or devices are still exposed to the room. Particle levels, pressure relative to corridors, and humidity for moisture-sensitive products all influence quality. Secondary packing areas usually need less control but still benefit from defined conditions.

We test particle counts, air changes, filter integrity, pressure differentials, temperature and relative humidity in packing rooms, and qualify new or modified packing areas before use.

Product protection

Controlled packing rooms reduce contamination and moisture exposure during primary packing.

GMP expectations

Pharmaceutical packing areas are expected to meet defined and documented environmental conditions.

Line changes

New lines and layout changes need qualification before the room goes back into use.

Frequently asked questions

Many tablets and capsules are sensitive to moisture. Keeping relative humidity within limits during blister packing protects product stability.
In primary packing the product is exposed or in direct contact with the pack, so the room needs tighter control. In secondary packing the product is already sealed.
Before first use, after significant changes to layout, HVAC or equipment, and at intervals set by your quality system.
Yes. We test controlled rooms used for packing medical devices, including sterile packaging areas.
